The Local Approved Trades Code of Conduct
- To be fair and reasonable on price
- Be honest and courteous in all communication, transactions and proceedings
- Inform you about any upfront costs or call-out fees beforehand
- Be prompt in all communication and keep to scheduled appointments (letting you know in ahead of time if they need to reschedule)
- Inform you immediately if they can’t do the work, be realistic with commencement dates and length of time needed to complete the work
- Be respectful to you, your property and possessions all times
- Keep you updated and fully informed about all details of the job, work or service
- To maintain and update any qualifications, memberships or approvals required to complete the work, and provide copies of such documentation when requested
- Amendments to the original agreement are to be mutually agreed before being carried out
- Any complaints are to be dealt with promptly, fairly and professionally
- To be polite and well mannered in all dealings, never be threatening, demanding or abusive in any way
- Not to be discriminatory against any person because of their sex, race, disability, gender, religion or belief
